CAP has released residual value predictions for the new Ford Mondeo in its March Monitor, so here we have pitched it against its arch-rival, and sector leader, the Volkswagen Passat.

We’ve compared mid-range diesel models and despite the Mondeo’s sharper looks and quality interior, the Passat still wins in RV terms, losing £1,300 less over three years/60,000 miles.
