Scenic set to conquer

Renault’s Scenic Conquest – a small MPV with SUV styling, will cost from £17,945 when deliveries begin next month.

Available with either a 1.9-litre 130bhp turbodiesel or a 136bhp 2.0-litre petrol, the Conquest has a 20mm higher ride height than the Scenic and extra body cladding to give it a tougher look. However, it doesn’t offer four-wheel drive, which helps the diesel return a claimed 47.1mpg.

Two further engine options will be added in September.
