Volkswagen has revealed the first official images of its Tiguan, which will go on sale in the UK in February.
VW had already revealed pictures of the final concept version of the new compact 4x4, but this is the first time the production version has been seen.
The Tiguan will be available with two engines at launch, a 2.0-litre 138bhp TDI diesel which is likely to be the most popular model, and a 1.4-litre 148bhp TSI petrol unit.
A 168bhp TDI and two further petrol engines will become available to order later in 2008. S, SE and Sport models will be offered at launch, all with 4MOTION four-wheel.
UK pricing is expected to start at around £19,000, with Volkswagen dealers due to start taking orders for the new car in November.
