Fast-fit company HiQ is looking to revolutionise the industry by dramatically overhauling the way it operates.

A 2005 survey of fast-fit customers found that the majority had low expectations of the sector.

In a bid to change that, HiQ has announced a major fleet revision and expansion programme that will mean all HiQ centres and partner centres operate to a common standard.

Mobile tyre-fitting is to be integral to fleet offering and there will be regular independent audits to ensure targets are being met.

HiQ plans to add at least another 100 franchised centres to its existing 150-strong network within the next three years.

New online features will allow fleets to buy tyres on the internet and choose which centre they want to fit them. And a training academy has been set up to improve staff standards.

HiQ plans to monitor progress with another customer satisfaction survey by the end of the year.
