The Renault Fluence concept points to the forthcoming Laguna coupe

Renault has announced further additions to its new Laguna range which will be introduced next year, including a sleek coupe and the option of four-wheel steering.

Following on from the launch of the five-door hatchback in the UK next month, the Sport Tourer estate version will join the line-up in January.

Other new models include a sporty GT trim level powered by the 175bhp dCi diesel engine in the first half of next year.

But the big news will be the Laguna Coupe in the latter half of 2008.

This will feature a specially adapted chassis which uses all four wheels to steer and will be powered by a choice of 3.5-litre V6 petrol or 3.0-litre V6 diesel engines, plus a more fleet-friendly 2.0 dCi. Active steering and the larger engines will also find their way into the conventional Laguna range next year.
