Metal site

A new website from the British Geological Survey allows users to see how many minerals and metals we ‘consume’ in a lifetime – the average is 35 lorry loads, or 10 tonnes a year.

This includes the minerals needed to build homes and manufacture all our household possessions, as well as the minerals, metals and fuels used in our cars.

Go to www.mineralsuk.com to find out more.
