Describe your fleet.
We have 110 vehicles – 96 cars, 12 light commercials and two heavy goods vehicles. We also have a user-chooser policy.
How did you get into the fleet industry?
My background is transport. Our company lost a large contract 10 years ago and my team was decimated. I was asked to take over the fleet.
What advice would you give to someone joining the industry?
It is not just about cars and it is not recommended for the faint-hearted, but potentially it’s very rewarding.
What does your job entail?
Policy, vehicle procurement, fuel cards, insurance, overseeing contracts and representing the company in occupational road safety.
How is the industry changing?
New legislation seems to be constantly just around the corner and I can only imagine the changes ahead.
Where is your favourite restaurant?
I am happiest in a greasy spoon or the local Indian restaurant.
