Ford seals Speedy deal for Transits

Ford is supplying 300 Transits to Speedy Hire – the UK’s largest tool and equipment hire firm.

Speedy recently took over Hewden Tools and as a result inherited 800 vehicles, including 540 Transit dropsides.

Speedy Hire fleet director Ian Leonard said: “We’re replacing 300 Transits now and are likely to take on around 130 more during the next year.

“The company is also looking to replace other vans and cars with new Ford vehicles.”

The new vans, supplied by Gordons Ford of Bolton, have a unique bulkhead, bespoke tail-lift, tow bar, parking sensors and Bluetooth phone link.
