HSS adds to fleet and improves safety

HSS has extended its fleet as well as updating its livery and installing new safety equipment.

The fleet will include over 200 re-branded Transit vans and five other LCVs by Christmas.

The redesign was carried out by marketing agency Gyro International with Rapido and Arnold Clark working together to carry out the wrapping.

“The benefits are not purely cosmetic; the new fleet boasts an extended safety offering as well as green credentials,” said Lee Jackson, fleet manager for HSS.

“The vans now feature non-slip floors and detachable beacons for on-site safety along with an aluminium frame that makes the vehicle lighter, reducing fuel consumption as well as enabling a maximisation of payload to reduce the required number of trips to site.

"All LCVs now have safety lighting and on-board panoramic reversing cameras.”
