Volkswagen has given its Touareg SUV a course of steroid injections and this is the result – the 350bhp R50.

Available in limited numbers, the R50 gains sports styling, extra equipment and an uprated 5.0-litre V10 diesel engine which now produces 350bhp (up 37bhp) and 627lb-ft of torque (up from 553lb-ft).
