How was your first day?

I was in a meeting with our board members. It was great to see the passion that the rest of the team had for their business and their ideas for taking us forward.

What has been your greatest challenge in the role so far?

Restructuring the department. This is now complete and leaves us in a much better shape for delivering a world class service.

How does your new role differ from your last job with Lloyds TSB Autolease?

My previous assignment saw me working in Madrid out of a small office. It was a very virtual experience and with little line management responsibility.

What has been your greatest achievement?

Winning the trust of my staff and colleagues. Getting “no issues” raised during an external audit was pretty satisfying too.

How is fleet management changing?

Customers value good service more than ever and that’s a strength of ours.

How do you relax at weekends?

The honest answer is that I don’t like to relax – life is too short.
