Ozone levels down

Unhealthily high concentrations of ground-level ozone in Europe were lower during summer 2007 than any other year since 1997, claimed the European Environment Agency.

While not stating whether this is a long-term trend, the agency stressed that Britain did not suffer any concentrations of the traffic-related pollutant exceeding European Union-advised maximums.
