Kia has slashed CO2 emissions on its Picanto, Rio, C’eed and Pro_cee’d models.

Each range from the Korean manufacturer now has a model in the sub-120g/km vehicle excise duty band, meaning annual VED payments of £35, a saving of £85 a year on the previous models, as well as less company car tax for business drivers.

Each model also offers combined fuel economy of more than 60mpg.

Picanto models now have four seats, reducing weight to take CO2 emissions down as low as 117g/km. Emissions on the Rio supermini’s 1.5 CRDi engine are down to 119g/km, the same as on the 1.6 CRDi unit found in the Cee’d and Pro_cee’d, which achieves 62.8mpg.
