Energy company E.ON has renewed a vehicle supply contract with Ford involving around 2,000 cars and vans.

The three-year deal will see Ford making up three-quarters of E.ON’s 3,100-strong LCV fleet and more than a quarter of the 2,800 cars it operates.

The commercial vehicles will include Transit, Transit Connect, Ranger and Fiesta vans, while the cars will be Fiestas, Mondeos and S-MAXs, all of which must emit less than 165g/km of CO2 to fit in with E.ON’s fleet policy.

David Graham, fleet manager at E.ON UK, said: “This is part of a pan-European contract with each country managing its own requirements.

“Safety, fitness for purpose and environmental performance are the main criteria in selecting our vehicles.”

The vehicles will be leased through Lloyds TSB Autolease with maintenance carried out by BT Fleet.

The LCVs will have racking fitted by Bri-Stor.
