Parking help

The Department for Transport has unveiled plans to help councils tackle inconsiderate parking.

The plans, now under consultation, would allow councils to take action against drivers that double-park or park at dropped pavements without having to indicate restrictions with signs or road markings.

Such measures would bring the rest of the UK in line with London, where they are already in place.
