The GCDA – the Government Car and Despatch Agency - has been named as a pre-approved courier provider by OGCbuying.solutions, an executive agency of the Treasury's Office of Government Commerce.

The approval to provide courier service used by public sector bodies will be worth an estimated £150m over the next three years.

"Widely-publicised security lapses have led to a great deal of concern about how public documents and materials are handled, and we are delighted that OGCbuying.solutions see GCDA not only as reliable and cost-effective, but also as an organisation which can be trusted with highly sensitive material,” said GCDA's Director of Core Services, Nigel Bennett.
