Andy Shields, Vice-president of vehicle supply and logistics, Autoquake.

How was your first week in the job?
Trying to catch up with a company that’s already running at 90mph was exhilarating.

How does your new role differ from your last job?
My new role is highly operational, delivering customer satisfaction both to our retail and fleet customers. My role at Avis Europe was far more internally focused.

What has been your greatest challenge in the role so far?
Managing the exponential growth of the business due to the phenomenal demand from the retail website autoquake.com combined with the growing remarketing requirements of the fleet industry.

And what has been your greatest achievement?
I’ve not been here at Autoquake for that long – I think it’s too soon to say. What are you working on at the moment?
Establishing new partnerships and augmenting existing ones within the leasing industry.

What is your favourite holiday destination?
France, particularly the area near Rochefort.
