Fleet News has linked up with the FIA Foundation on a European survey to establish views from fleet operators about safety and assistance systems.

The survey asks fleets to rank in importance key vehicle criteria, such as safety, reliability, engine power, Euro NCAP, and CO2 emissions, and asks whether they have safety systems such as electronic stability control on their vehicles.

The project is called eSafetyChallenge and is funded by the European Commission.

All participants will get the results for free. They can also register for a personal invitation by the FIA Foundation to eSafetyChallenge 2010 on July 13, also for free.

The Challenge will focus on innovative vehicle safety technologies and the potential for lives to be saved on the roads through increased deployment of these technologies.
