Kwik-Fit has appointed Peter Lambert to replace Mike Wise (pictured), who has left to 'explore other opportunities'.

Lambert becomes sales director for Kwik Fit Fleet, effective from August 2.

Lambert has experience in the UK motor industry spanning 25 years during which time he has held a variety of roles with Ford, Toyota and DaimlerChrysler.

At DaimlerChrysler he was sales and marketing director for Mercedes-Benz Vans and managing director of Chrysler UK.

More recently he was managing director for Rossetts Commercials, the Mercedes-Benz Commercial vehicle dealer for Sussex and Surrey.

Reporting directly to Kwik-Fit Group Chief Executive Ian Fraser, the focus of the role will be to build on Kwik-Fit Fleet’s traditional tyre business through further expanding its service, MOT and repair sales, reflecting the strategy that has been successfully rolled out within its retail operation.

Fraser said: “We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Group. His breadth of experience across so many different aspects of the industry makes him an ideal candidate to take over responsibility for our Fleet business. I welcome the insight and the leadership qualities that he will bring to the team.

”I would also like to thank Mike Wise for his significant contribution to the growth of Kwik-Fit Fleet and wish him well in his future career.”

Lambert added: “I am delighted to be joining Kwik-Fit Fleet at this exciting time in the company’s development. With a widely recognised brand, unrivalled network coverage and now with the expertise to offer MOT and Service, Kwik-Fit is better placed than ever to offer value for money and convenience to the fleet customer. The work already undertaken by the existing team to promote the expanded range of quality services has already laid a solid foundation for the continuing success of Kwik-Fit Fleet.”
