Navman launch iPhone application

Navman Wireless has launched an innovative iPhone app that allows customers to manage their entire vehicle fleet from their handset.

Based on the company’s powerful OnlineAVL2 desktop tracking software, the app enables users to locate drivers on detailed maps and route them to their next destination.

“To date, many vehicle tracking users have been unable to take full advantage of their systems as they can’t always be at their office computer,” said Tony Neill, Managing Director, Navman Wireless UK.

“This app will give customers total freedom to control their mobile workforce regardless of where they are, and could revolutionise the way some companies manage their fleets as a consequence.”

The app also features instant messaging so managers can communicate with drivers and provide them with detailed instructions on their next job. In addition, users can retrospectively view vehicle movements to determine where vehicles have been during the day and how long for.
