Rental company expands its Northgate brand

Northgate has brought its 20 local individual brands under the single Northgate Vehicle Hire brand.

The vehicle rental company, which mainly supplies small businesses with flexible rental services, now operates its 60+ sites across the UK and Ireland under 12 business areas and all under the single brand.

A large part of its 60,000-strong fleet of mainly light vans is already carrying the Northgate Vehicle Hire branding. The remaining part of the fleet is typically branded by long-term hirers with their own corporate livery.

A new website - www.northgatevehiclehire.co.uk – with online booking facilities has also been launched.

“These changes are already delivering higher levels of brand awareness and increasing demand for vehicles both from our corporate and retail customers,” said marketing director, Ross Clarkson.

“The rebranding to Northgate is being supported by the implementation of a single set of best practice processes offering customers more consistent levels of customer service.

“We want to build further on the company’s reputation and leverage further value from the Northgate brand as the industry leader which pioneered the development of flexible vehicle hire.”
