Really Green Driving is launching a franchise business and already has two new franchisees with plans to have 20 by the end of 2011.

Lizzie Whyte, the business owner explains: "Driving, for many of us, is unavoidable and necessary but we can learn to drive in the most petrol efficient ways, in the most eco friendly cars and ultimately with a clearer conscious. There are over 30 million cars on the road, and that figure is continuing to rise. Teaching 'green' right at the beginning, when they are young is the best way to ensure we protect our environment as best we can. There is no point telling an 18 year old, don't drive it is not environmentally friendly! It is far more realistic to teach how to drive in an environmentally friendly way."

Car lessons are taught in an eco-friendly Volkswagen Polo Blue Motion. The car also has a spoiler kit which gives a great streamlined effect and the lack of weight in the car reduces fuel consumption.
