Speedy renews contract with Lex Autolease

Lex Autolease has renewed its contract with long-standing customer Speedy. The deal, worth circa £60m over five years, includes a two year option to extend the contract after an initial three-year term.

The agreement, with the provider of equipment rental and support services, will see Lex Autolease supply an anticipated 2,500 cars and vans over the full five year period.

Paul Kinney, customer relationship manager at Lex Autolease, says: “Speedy has been a major customer for over 13 years. During that time we have continually demonstrated added value by driving down costs and enhancing our in-house service offering.”

Ian Leonard, director of fleet services at Speedy adds: “Logistics is a crucially important area of our business and having the right mix of product and fleet management expertise will ensure that we can continue to operate efficiently in a highly competitive market.

“The combination of Lex Autolease’s commercial strength and service excellence gave us the confidence to extend our long-term partnership following a comprehensive fleet review and tender process.”
