SEAT UK is already reaping the benefits of its new Online Warranty Renewal service, with sales increasing by 46% compared to the previous year. Operated by Mondial Assistance, one of the UK’s largest motor manufacturer warranty providers, the online warranty scheme brings customers greater flexibility to choose a policy that best suits their motoring needs.

Mondial Assistance UK has been providing SEAT Used Car Warranty and Optional Extended Warranty products for more than five years. During this period the number of policy sales has increased by over 250%, whilst the number of SEAT Dealers supporting the SEAT Approved Used Car Programme has doubled.

The new web-based service is an extension of the successful partnership between Mondial Assistance and SEAT, giving customers the luxury of purchasing their SEAT Extended Warranty cover direct online. SEAT owners can specify the level of cover they need, with a flexible claim excess and the potential to include European roadside assistance if required.

Nigel Griggs, Head of Aftersales at SEAT UK says, “Many motorists looking for ways to cut costs may see warranty as an unnecessary expense. However, Extended Warranty for SEAT customers offers an affordable cover, with policy costs starting as low as £17.00 per month giving protection from the unexpected motoring costs. The flexibility of our “pay as you go” service means that customers can choose a product to meet their specific needs. Payments can be made in one-off sums or paid monthly, allowing customers to manage their finances.”

Liz Grindell, Warranty Sales Manager at Mondial Assistance UK, adds, “We are delighted to continue building on our long-term partnership with SEAT. This new service is designed to increase the number of policy sales for Extended Warranties, which ultimately increases the number of SEAT customers retained within the Dealer network for both warranty and servicing work. Once again Mondial Assistance is helping manufacturers bring added value to their customers and increase profits for their dealers.”
