The Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA) has announced its 2012 conference will be held on February 9 at the new Silverstone Wing, a state of the art conference facility within the famous Silverstone motor racing circuit.

The theme - Shaping the Future of Remarketing – is expected to attract a great deal of interest at a time when market trading conditions continue to be very uncertain. As with the inaugural VRA conference in January this year, the topics cover wide-ranging vehicle remarketing influences and activity, with plenty of audience engagement and instant feedback through the use of electronic voting handsets.

TV presenter and automotive broadcaster Ginny Buckley will again host the event, which will include an impressive line-up of key figures from the remarketing sector and broader motor industry.

Individual speakers already confirmed include:

• Trevor Finn, chief executive, Pendragon
• Paul Everitt, chief executive, SMMT
• John Lewis, chief executive, BVRLA
• Helena Fearon, director risk and compliance, Trader Media Group
• David Raistrick, automotive partner, Deloitte UK

Additionally, the event will present a group forum, hosted by Ginny Buckley, comprising well known remarketing figures discussing the prevailing market conditions and general outlook.

VRA chairman, John Davies said: "The feedback from our first conference was extremely positive and we have further increased the level of delegate opinion forming on the day. Silverstone’s innovative Wing venue lends itself perfectly for our event with all presentations, exhibitions and catering being contained in one giant hall, overlooking the historic racetrack.

"If you are a decision maker with an interest in vehicle remarketing, then this is an event you should not miss. It’s a unique opportunity to understand what’s going on in the current environment, as well as listening to experts discuss the outlook in what is currently a difficult market to predict."
