Keyfuels’ partnership with BT Fleet is going from strength to strength based on how much fuel it is delivering to the mixed fleet.

BT Fleet operate one of the largest mixed fleet in the UK, managing and maintaining over 35,000 commercial vehicles for BT and a further 25,000 vehicles for its customers including The AA, E.ON and Group 4 Securicor.

The company expected Keyfuels to deliver an annual volume of five million litres a year, but this has more than doubled to 12 million litres annually.

The contract with BT Fleet was awarded after a lengthy procurement exercise involving Keyfuels and a number of the major oil companies.

Russ Peatey, buyer at BT Fleet, said: “The key requirements of the procurement process were network size and price. From BT’s perspective, having a competitively priced fuel site that was accessible within five miles of each vehicles parking location was absolutely essential. We also needed to be able to purchase fuel for our external customers and offer them first class fuel management solutions.

“We sent the tender to a number of the major oil suppliers and Keyfuels. Following an extensive review, Keyfuels was one of three suppliers awarded the contract based on its ability to meet our five mile radius stipulation and provide nationwide coverage. This, combined with its pricing and range of management and reporting solutions, made it an effective choice for BT and our customers."

Keyfuels is a provider of fuel cards and fuel management solutions to commercial vehicle operators throughout the UK. Operating 1,500 sites situated in the most convenient of locations, the company’s typical key account customers use more than one million litres of fuel per year.
