A colleague car scheme run by Zenith Provecta for Cable&Wireless Worldwide has been shortlisted for an industry award. The scheme is a finalist in the ‘Most Effective Travel Strategy for Business and Perk Car Drivers’ category of the annual Employee Benefits Awards.

Cable&Wireless Worldwide introduced the tax efficient, salary sacrifice company car funding method to 5,500 UK based colleagues last year and the scheme has been hugely popular, with unprecedented interest. The scheme is designed to save C&W Worldwide colleagues money and provide them with a fixed cost way to run a car.

The annual Employee Benefits Awards recognise and reward those employers who have made a significant difference to their organisation through reward strategies. The awards showcase employers who have demonstrated innovation, as well as provided quantifiable data on how their benefits have impacted on HR and business objectives.

The winner will be announced at the Awards ceremony on Thursday 9th June 2011 at the Royal Artillery Gardens at The H.A.C.

Paul Bissell, head of reward, Cable&Wireless Worldwide, comments: “We’re delighted by the success of our ‘iDrive’ scheme, and are pleased to be working in partnership with Zenith Provecta to provide a benefit which is great for colleagues and for our business.”

Ian Hughes, commercial director for Zenith Provecta, comments: “The Cable&Wireless Worldwide ‘iDrive’ salary sacrifice scheme has been hugely popular with their employees. We are delighted that its success has been recognised by being a finalist in these prestigious awards.”
