In a bid to plug an identified gap in the market and provide less sizable fleet operators with appropriate fleet management software, Chevin Fleet Solutions has launched the latest version of its first product offering, RoadBASE.

The desktop application has been supporting fleet management operations for hundreds of medium scale fleets, from food manufactures and charities to local authorities and police constabularies, across the globe for over 21 years.

With the latest developments RoadBASE users will now benefit from increased functionality, including the ability to directly export data into Excel and PDF formats.

The upgraded RoadBASE software has been developed after consultation with Chevin’s existing customer-base and incorporates feedback received following the company’s annual user day, held in November last year.

With the upgraded software available at no extra cost, Chevin’s managing director Ashley Sowerby is confident that RoadBASE’s latest offering will be a hit with both new and existing customers alike.

He said: “For larger, geographically dispersed fleet operators there’s no doubt that web-based fleet management software, incorporating the latest in technological advancements, is the most appropriate tool for the job. But for smaller and less complex fleets, this level of investment is neither necessary nor cost effective.

“The RoadBASE upgrade will provide medium-sized fleet operations with the best of both worlds: capable, off the shelf, desktop technology combined with a sensible and appropriate price point. In addition, users will benefit from support from our in-house team of RoadBASE experts and ability to tailor the RoadBASE software to meet specific, user defined requirements.”
