Fleet alliance demonstrated the strength of its growing business with a top four shortlisting in the ‘Best Performing Business with over 25 employees’ category in the fifteenth annual Glasgow Business Awards.

Organised by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by the Glasgow School for Business and Society, part of Glasgow Caledonian University, the successful business had to demonstrate key characteristics such as strong leadership and a clearly defined vision for achieving growth through strategic objectives.

“It was a great result to have made the final four and huge recognition of all the hard work and effort put in by Fleet Alliance staff in the last 12 months or more,” said managing director, Martin Brown (pictured).

“We had a very strong sales year last year with a growth rate in the high teens and now manage over 10,000 vehicles for the first time in our history.  This was partly down to our strategic decision to target the mid-size corporate sector, plus continued growth in our core SME market.

“We also saw more clients utilising our e-fleet fleet management system and taking more vehicles from us, so that they could manage them all from one common platform.”

Martin added: “We would like to offer our heartiest congratulations to the winners, Itison, and to the other finalists in a very closely run race in what was widely recognised as the toughest category within this year’s awards.”

Other finalists in the category were international pool builder, Barr & Wray, travel agent, Barrhead Travel and ‘daily deals’ website, Itison.
