East London Hyundai opens for business

Hyundai is set to grow its presence east of London with the opening of a brand new dealership in Romford, Essex.
Alongside Hyundai’s European president, Mr Tak Uk Im, Bill Cook, director of Essex Motor Company, cut the ribbon at the official opening of East London Hyundai’s new premises.

Built on the site of an old truck workshop, East London Hyundai was constructed virtually from scratch and now boasts the largest single franchise showroom of any Hyundai dealership in the UK.

Bill Cook, director of Essex Motor Company Ltd. said: “We are honoured to have President Im here to unveil our flagship dealership. The site has been completely transformed into what is an attractive and professional facility where customers can benefit from top-class new and used Hyundai vehicle sales backed-up by a dedicated team of service and maintenance technicians.

“Owning and operating our other Hyundai dealerships in Southend, Basildon and Chelmsford means we have a close understanding of our region and customer base and we are delighted to officially open East London Hyundai.”

Tony Whitehorn, president and ceo, Hyundai Motor UK, said: “We have launched seven new products this year and it is imperative our dealerships match the quality of our new cars. With the opening of the East London Hyundai site we think Bill and his team are ideally placed, given the impressive resources at their disposal, to provide customers with high quality service from start to finish.”
