Vauxhall Ampera wins Sunday Times award

Vauxhall’s Ampera E-REV has garnered another gong for its trophy cabinet, after The Sunday Times awarded it Best Electric Car and Hybrid.

Sunday Times Driving – the paper’s new motoring section, which replaces In Gear – has launched with a ‘Top 100 Cars’ section, and the judging panel put the Ampera a clear first in the eco-car group.

"The Ampera offers excellent and silent performance and all-electric transport," said a spokesperson. "It’s a brilliant solution. But it’s no less brilliant than the execution of the rest of the car. The Ampera is also a great-looking car inside and out, comfortable on a long journey and easy to understand and operate."
