SMA’s new fleet set to deliver growth

SMA Vehicle Remarketing has announced growth of their own transport fleet with the addition of 20 new road transporters, to ensure timely collection and distribution of vehicles across the UK.

The blue and green liveried transporters, built to SMA’s specification, represent an investment of over £2 Million for the SMA business that managing director, Bob Anderson feels is important to sustain the business’ growth;

“Logistics is a key part of the remarketing process. Our growth over the last 18 months, has created more interest in our stock, from buyers across the UK, who value our concept of access to ‘just in time’ stock. Getting this stock out to buyers rapidly is a core part of our proposition and as such, the newly expanded fleet of vehicles is vital to fulfil this promise.

“At the same time, as helping our buyers, the increased buyer demand we are generating is making us more attractive to vendors. Naturally, this creates additional transportation requirements. We are seeing this through both our core remarketing business and our specialist support services, such as Inspect & Collect, which is proving hugely popular with fleet operators, helping operators to provide a more cost-effective and higher quality vehicle hand-over process.”
