Honda will take the wraps off a compact crossover car in January's North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The car will be based in the Jazz, and will be a rival to the Nissan Juke and Vauxhall Mokka.

Although most details will be kept secret until the car is unveiled at the motor show, Honda chief executive Takanobi Ito confirmed to Fleet News in November that it would be influenced by the latest CR-V in its styling and its practicality, and was optimistic about its prospects.
