TRG appoints new operations director

TRG Vehicle Hire (TRG) has appointed Stuart Riddick to the role of operations director. He will run the company’s existing three sites in Tolworth, Epsom and Croydon, and will support the planned accelerated growth of the business in 2013 and beyond.

With 25 years’ experience in the vehicle hire industry, Riddick joins the business from his current role as a regional operations manager at Northgate.

TRG says he has a proven track record of implementing growth and delivering performance strategies. At Northgate he was responsible for a fleet of 12,000 vehicles across the South East, with 140 staff.

He has previously worked as regional operations manager at Europcar and as reservations and sales office manager at Sixt Rent a Car. He has also worked for Eurodollar and Budget.

Nigel Schroder, managing director at TRG, said: “The amount of experience that Stuart brings is vast and I believe will really help to accelerate our planned growth.

“It is a real coup to have someone with such industry knowledge and we look forward to working closely with him, and growing the business initially across South West London and then throughout the entire London and M25 region.”

Riddick added: “I was very impressed by TRG’s unique service offering. There is a place in the market for a vehicle hire specialist that operates locally with a local customer base. As businesses grow, I firmly believe they should look to stay in touch with their client base on a local level.

“I am really looking forward to the challenge of growing TRG and creating a new type of industry player.”
