A recent meeting of the LILIES group raised £180 for the automotive industry charity BEN.

LILIES, which stands for Leasing Industry Ladies Invitation Events, was started five years ago by several women in the fleet sector who felt they would benefit from an opportunity to meet up regularly to network and chat about business matters.

Around 12 women attended the first meeting; the invitation-only group has now grown to approximately 50 – all of whom hold a senior position related to the fleet sector. They meet three or four times a year.

A comment from one of the LILIES following the latest lunch meeting sums up the group’s raison d’etre:

“I would give one piece of advice; if any of you are ever in a situation that you find difficult then turn to the Lilies for guidance. There is a wealth of experience among us and a bottomless pit of kindness and support - that, I now know from first-hand experience.”
