The Royal British Legion has awarded a £2 million, three-year sole supply deal to Lex Autolease to fund vehicles on contract hire.

Lex Autolease will be supplying The Royal British Legion with 110 vehicles, to include 90 cars and 20 of Handyman Vans.

The vehicles will be used across the UK as part of The Royal British Legion’s delivery of its Health and Welfare services and Fundraising activity.

The Handyman Van fleet provide a handyman service to those beneficiaries, including ex-servicemen and women, who require small repairs and minor alterations to their homes. This service is being expanded in 2012 to achieve national coverage.

“Lex Autolease has been able to tailor a blended solution, that’s ideal to meet our fleet needs including extensive commercial vehicle expertise through their team of commercial vehicle specialists," said John Graham, deputy director general, The Royal British Legion.

"Lex Autolease’s industry team of experts have taken the time to understand the organisation, which will help us achieve significant future cost and time savings.

“But, most importantly help us reach out to those members of the community that need us in order to stay independent for longer in their own homes. We look forward to working with Lex Autolease to help meet our beneficiaries’ needs.”

The 110 vehicles will be leased on a contract-hire basis from Lex Autolease. The fleet will also be fully managed by the UK’s leading leasing company.
