To celebrate the sales launch of the tough all-new Isuzu D-Max pick-up, Isuzu dealers across the UK are laying down a fun ‘Big Pull Challenge’.

Taking place on Saturday 14July – the day the new Isuzu D-Max officially goes on sale – the Big Pull Challenge is a tug-of-war competition for contestants to test their power against the all-new pick-up. Only the toughest will triumph against the Japanese brand’s rugged new workhorse which boasts 163 ps and 400 Nm of torque from its highly efficient 2.5-litre twin-turbo common-rail diesel engine.

The competition is open to men, women and children of all ages, and with games, prizes and free great British grub for everyone, a trip to participating Isuzu pick-up dealers on 14 July will be loads of fun for the whole family.

The winning contestant at each dealer – registering the highest pulling power on a precision monitoring device mounted to a static Isuzu D-Max – will take away a tough XL tool bag worth over £40.

Willing contestants must sign up at http://bigpullchallenge.co.uk and take on the Isuzu D-Max on Saturday 14 July before 16.00hrs. The competition’s website lists all participating dealers and the competition’s terms & conditions.

William Brown, general manager of Isuzu UK, said: “The Big Pull Challenge is a fun competition to find modern day heroes brave enough to take on the all-new Isuzu D-Max, a pick-up that has been engineered to be the toughest in its class. While pick-ups are traditionally workhorses that help tough guys carry out tough jobs, they often double up as family transport when they’re off-duty. So we’re encouraging families to do more than come along to support their dads. We want them to get involved, too, because a trip to their local Isuzu dealer on 14 July will be great fun for everyone.”
