Forbes appointed marketing director at Jaguar

Jaguar Land Rover has appointed Ken Forbes to the position of marketing director for Jaguar Cars UK. The newly-created position is effective from June 11, 2012.

He will assume responsibility for all marketing communication and product matters for Jaguar in the UK.

He said: “I’m really looking forward to joining the Jaguar brand. It’s a tremendous opportunity to be part of a vibrant team and a company with a very exciting future ahead of it.”

Jeremy Hicks, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover UK, added: “Ken is a fantastic addition to the team – his background both in automotive management and in publishing will be a great benefit to Jaguar Cars in the UK.

“We have an exciting year ahead as the XF Sportbrake and the F-TYPE come to market - Ken will play a vital role in these plans.”

Forbes brings with him extensive automotive experience having worked for Ford, Citroen and Emap automotive. He joins Jaguar Land Rover from his own consultancy business where his clients included Porsche and Nationwide.
