Businesses use telematics for accurate mileage readings

An ALD Automotive/You Gov survey of UK financial directors has found that more than two-thirds of UK businesses surveyed, who employ in excess of 1,000 employees, have adopted telematics to capture accurate mileage readings and thereby deliver cost savings associated with running their fleet of company vehicles.

Commenting on the survey results, Keith Allen (pictured), managing director of ALD Automotive UK, said: “Over the past seven years, telematics technology has evolved hugely, delivering a wide range of functionalities that can help businesses to better manage the costs and risk associated with their fleet.

“At the same time business drivers have also become far more positive about the use of telematics, recognising the benefits it can deliver to themselves as well as their employers.”
