Specsavers has been voted Most Trusted Optician by British consumers in the 2012 Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands survey.

This is the 11th year running that Specsavers has been named as the nation’s most trusted optician, voted for by the customers who experience the service on a day-to-day basis.

Jim Lythgow, director of strategic alliances for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare says, ‘When selecting such a critical service as eyecare, employers want to be sure that they are offering the highest possible standard of care. It is important that they feel their employees will be in safe hands and to be able to offer a service that has been formally recognised, as the most trustworthy accolade bestows great confidence. We are very proud to have received this prestigious award for the eleventh time and hope to continue to provide the finest levels of care.’

The survey asked over 2,000 people in the UK which brands they trusted the most and gave respondents the freedom to nominate any brand of their choice for each category. Respondents rated that brand in terms of quality, value, image and its understanding of customers’ needs. Specsavers received 37.4% of the nation’s vote: more than Boots, Vision Express, Optical Express, Tesco, Asda and Leightons combined.
