Fleet software specialist Chevin Fleet Solutions has been selected by the UK’s Freight Transport Association (FTA) to partner the organisation’s Van Excellence scheme.

The scheme, which designed to improve standards and recognise excellence in van fleet operations, was introduced earlier this year.

The FTA has created a series of best practice standards in order to help a variety of organisations develop safer and more efficient processes and methods of van fleet management.

Mark Cartwright, the FTA’s head of van and light commercial vehicles, said: “Chevin’s software delivers a mechanism for fleets to streamline processes, identify risk and implement more effective methods of data management.

“As such, it was an obvious choice to invite Chevin to support the FTA’s latest initiative as they represent a perfect fit for the scheme.”

Ashley Sowerby, managing director of Chevin Fleet Solutions, added: “I’m thrilled to have been invited to partner the Van Excellence Scheme and see it as testament to Chevin software’s ability to transform fleet operations of all sizes and complexities and facilitate safer, more cost effective and efficient functions.”
