2 Sisters Food Group, which contract hires its vehicles under a non-maintenance agreement, chose Kettering-based Interactive Fleet Management after it was impressed with its approach to providing multi-supply contract hire on a competitive tendering basis.

As a result of moving to multi-bid contract hire, 2 Sisters enjoys the price advantages of dealing with a panel of contract hire providers, whilst benefiting from the ease of operation of a single point of contact.

Craig Burdock, category manager at 2 Sisters, said: “This arrangement provides us with all the advantages of multi supply, which means our cost base is reduced by achieving the best contract hire rate each time we place an order.

“And by becoming our fleet department, Interactive Fleet Management removes all the administration involved in running a sizeable fleet.”

As part of the contract, Interactive Fleet Management is also managing the integration of the Northern Foods vehicles, which was acquired by 2 Sisters Food Group in April 2011,combining the two fleets into a new policy which offers driver choice across eight manufacturer brands.

Maintenance is managed by Interactive Fleet Management on a pay on use basis, with the entire focus being on cost reduction and very high levels of response and service to drivers.
