A prototype version of the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake is on UK roads officially for the first time this week, supporting the successful Team Sky riders in the gruelling Tour of Britain race.

The partnership between Team Sky and Jaguar reconvenes for the UK’s biggest professional cycling race, following the outright win for Team Sky rider Bradley Wiggins in the recent Tour de France.

A Team Sky support crew will drive the Jaguar XF Sportbrake behind a team that includes high-profile British riders Chris Froome, Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and Luke Rowe.

Adrian Hallmark, global brand director, Jaguar said: "The Tour of Britain is a great opportunity for Jaguar to underline its support for Team Sky. The British public is incredibly proud of our nation's sports stars right now. Following historic achievements in the Tour de France, Olympics and Paralympics, this is another world class opportunity to see the country’s sportsmen in action. It is also a unique opportunity to see the versatile new Jaguar XF Sportbrake on the road. Feedback following its global debut in the recent Tour de France indicates this new model will be another British success story!"
