Peugeot concept heralds next year's 2008

Peugeot will be taking aim at the Ford B-Max and Vauxhall Meriva with the new 2008 due in 2013.

Shown as a concept car in Paris, the 2008 appeared close to production specification even if its colour would have a detrimental effect on resale values.

Neither the colour nor the large black alloy wheels will be on the options list, but it is expected to use Peugeot's new three-cylinder 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines as well as a new four-cylinder diesel.
