DHL Supply Chain has implemented Microlise’s Fleet Performance and Proof of Delivery solutions for the 55 vehicles in their Dunelm Mill contract.

The Microlise Fleet Performance package, offers a range of in-vehicle technology options and reports which gives customers the information required to readily understand the utilisation and performance of their vehicles and drivers within their fleet.

As part of the solution, the Microlise Telematics Unit (MTU3) is fitted to the vehicle, including a connection to the vehicle’s CANbus.

The MTU3 then captures real-time data about the vehicles location and usage as well as detailed information relating to how the vehicle is being driven which allows customers to then target improvements in both fuel economy and safe driving.

Microlise’s Proof of Delivery module aims to provide Dunelm with a range of benefits, both in terms of enhanced customer service and reduced management and administration effort.

Microlise’s Proof of Delivery module encompasses a rugged handheld device from Motorola running Microlise’s POD application which guides the driver through a fixed set of delivery tasks, including image capture, sign on glass and any reason code capture around failed or claused deliveries.

Enhanced customer service is facilitated by having immediate visibility of delivery status and Proof of Delivery documentation. Management effort is significantly reduced as delivery information is readily accessed online and no manual debrief, scanning or re-keying is required.
