CAP Automotive has appointed Adrian Rushmore to the role of operations director as part of its drive for growth.

Rushmore, who left CAP's biggest rival Glass's Information Services at the end of 2012, is one of the most widely recognised figures in the world of used vehicle valuations and market intelligence, with more than 25 years’ experience in the field.

As operations director he will oversee the quality of CAP’s products and have significant input into the development of new products and services and assume overall responsibility for the strategy of continual improvement for CAP’scurrent and forecast valuations and technical data covering cars, vans, trucks and motorcycles.

Rushmore said: "I’m delighted to take the opportunity to be at the centre of a business committed to investing in the best market expertise, innovation and quality. I also look forward to leading a team which puts the customer at the forefront of everything it does.

"This is a very exciting time to be joining CAP and helping to shape the future of a business focused on investing to drive excellence and future growth."

CAP's business has been undergoing a significant revamp with the launch of Black Book Live in 2012, the industry’s first independent real-time used car valuation tool.

CAP says it has also been investing in "genuine market experts" to produce business-critical information tools for the automotive retail, fleet, consumer, finance and insurance sectors.

CAP CEO, Ian Rendle, said: "Adrian is one of the most well respected figures in the automotive business information industry and he brings with him a deep knowledge of our key markets together with a thorough understanding of customers in all of our commercial sectors.

"We are delighted to welcome him into what will undoubtedly prove one of the most challenging and rewarding roles in the company’s history as we continue to drive investment into skills and quality for the benefit of our customers."
