Skoda has just recorded its strongest ever September sales figures, with 10,380 registrations for the key ‘new registration’ month.

Thanks to the arrival of the new Octavia and facelifted Superb, Škoda’s September sales performance marks a 38.8% increase over the brand’s 2012 figures. September’s figures put Škoda UK in a strong position to eclipse its overall 2012 sales.

With a total of 49,567 sales to date – Skoda is 19.4% up year on year. The brand’s market share has also risen from 2.6 to 2.8% over the course of 2013.

Škoda retailers enjoyed strong demand across the range during September, with the Fabia and new Octavia leading the sales charge. Order books for the new Octavia vRS were also at full capacity in September following its highly successful launch at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Commenting on the figures, Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director for Škoda UK said: “These sales figures prove that Škoda is continuing to go from strength to strength in the UK. Our range has expanded with innovative and interesting new cars and the appeal of our products continues to grow as we enter new segments. Our retailers are working very hard to deliver great service as the brand grows. We have some fantastic new products in the pipeline that we can’t wait to get into UK showrooms.”
