The Retail Automotive Alliance Ltd (RAA) has confirmed a new deal with Manheim for the remarketing of more than 25,000 vehicles annually.

The RAA comprises 22 independent dealer groups, many of which are in the AM Top 100. The RAA’s partnership with Manheim will see in excess of 18 bespoke sales held each week around the country.

Part-exchange vehicles from retail activity generated by the RAA’s 200 individual dealerships will be offered at Manheim auction centres in Manchester and Mansfield in the north; Birmingham in the Midlands; and Bristol, Colchester, Saltash and Wimbledon in the south.

Light vans and trucks are also included in the deal and the RAA expects to remarket around 1,500 of these in special sale sections at Manheim’s dedicated commercial vehicle auctions at Colchester, Gloucester, Haydock, Leeds and Mansfield.

In addition, a new initiative of ‘ready-to-retail’ sales, including over-age stock and higher value part-exchanges, will be offered through Manheim Online.

Simulcast, Manheim’s live online link into physical auction, will also ensure these quality vehicles are made available to a broader buyer base.

Online buyers are always eager to access top quality stock especially when they can be fully confident of a vehicle’s condition and the all-important assurance of service history, V5s and other supporting documentation.

Oliver Greening, business development director of the RAA, said: “The RAA members have worked closely with the Manheim auction centres since 2006 and are delighted to continue this partnership. Manheim is a market-leading brand and an excellent fit with the RAA.”

Michael Buxton, chief operating officer at Manheim Remarketing, added: “The extension of our successful relationship with the RAA is great news and continues to highlight our world class customer service.

“The sales are always well attended and the vehicles much sought-after, leading to lively bidding from buyers both in the auction hall and online.”
