Peugeot Contract Hire (PCH) has introduced a fuel card in partnership with The Fuelcard People, who will manage the service.

The fuel card is available to both fleet car and light commercial vehicle customers, offering them reduced diesel and petrol prices nationwide.

The Fuelcard People says they can expect typical savings of up to 4p per litre on national average pump prices, with reductions of up to 10p per litre on motorway refuelling, and it will be particularly attractive for PCH’s small and medium-size enterprise (SME) customers, as there will be no minimum expenditure.

Nigel Ward, operations manager for PCH, said: “We examined a number of potential partners, but it was clear that The Fuelcard People can offer our customers an unbeatable combination of savings, service and security, as well as having comprehensive nationwide fuel brand coverage nationwide.

“The new fuel card will bring our SME customers significant fuel cost savings, alongside a number of other benefits.”

There will be no annual fee for the first year, with a 50% discount on cards during the following year.

Each customer will be allocated their own named, dedicated account manager and further benefits include free zero liability cover, giving protection against card fraud and misuse, and free 24/7 online account access.

The time gap between refuelling and invoicing means up to 14 days of free credit (subject to routine credit checking), with no interest charged.

Steve Clarke, general manager of The Fuelcard People, said: “Customers will enjoy fixed weekly pricing, whether refuelling in the heart of a city, down a quiet country lane, at a supermarket or on the motorway.

“The service is designed for owner-drivers and smaller fleets in mind, but larger businesses can also take advantage of the benefits."
