Whether you’re a large business with a whole fleet of vehicles or a small business with just one or two company cars, it's worth finding out more about electric vehicles (EVs), says the Energy Saving Trust (EST).

With the rising price of fuel and uncertainty in the economy, EST suggests it has never been more important to take action to reduce your organisation's fuel costs.

It says that EVs can help you do just that, with a cost as low as 2p per mile. And with increasing emphasis put on corporate and social responsibility, businesses are finding they can stand out from the crowd by demonstrating their environmental credentials to a range of stakeholders.

EST is holding free morning events in five locations across Scotland for Scottish businesses who want to:

• learn about the business benefits of EVs
• understand the range of financial support and funding currently available in Scotland, including tax incentives and funding for charging facilities
• test drive an EV
• hear a real life example of how an EV has benefitted a Scottish organisation
• take part in an open discussion about the current situation of EVs in Scotland.

The EV events take place in Inverness on September 24, Glasgow on September 26, Dumfries on September 27, Aberdeen on October 4 and Fife on October 11.

As places are limited they'll be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please make sure you register your attendance soon by clicking here and selecting which event location you want to attend.
